A Busy Summer and Exciting Plans for Lancing’s Future!

As the new Chair of Lancing Parish Council, I wanted to give you a quick update on all the exciting things we’ve been working on over the summer and early autumn.
It’s been a fantastic summer full of community events, with something for everyone to enjoy! But, behind the scenes, we’ve been busy reviewing the Lancing Now and Into the Future report – a project that involved over 300 local residents, community groups, and businesses. The feedback has given us invaluable insights into what you love about Lancing and your hopes for its future.
Key findings from the report include:
- A desire for more affordable leisure activities
- The importance of feeling safe in public spaces
- A need for local training and job opportunities
- Improving Lancing’s High Street and creating a stronger sense of identity
What’s next? Based on your feedback, we’ve developed a draft strategic plan, and we can’t wait to share more at our upcoming Full Council meeting later this year. We’d love for you to join us and share your thoughts as we work together to create a brighter future for Lancing!
