Committees

Committees focus on specific areas and report to full council, Full Council meets approximately every six weeks. This enables smaller groups of councillors with specific areas of expertise and interests to be more involved and to ‘get things done’. Our committees are:

Amenities, Environment and Community (ACE) Committee

The Amenities & Environment Committee is responsible for all matters concerning allotments, beaches and foreshore, car parks and open spaces.

They meet approximately every six weeks in Lancing Parish Hall, members of the public are welcome to attend all meetings.

Cllr Douglas Bradley, Cllr Ann Bridges, Cllr David Devoy, Cllr Kathryn Penny, Cllr Carol Albury, Cllr Mike Mendoza, and Cllr Joe Pannell.

Terms of Reference – ACE Committee

Finance & Governance Committee

The Finance & Governance Committee is responsible for all matters concerning finance, administration, assets (including Parish Hall) and Governance.

They meet once every quarter in Lancing Parish Hall, members of the public are welcome to attend all meetings.

Terms of Reference – Finance Committee

Planning Committee

The Planning Committee considers all planning applications for Lancing and make recommendations to Adur District Council.

They meet every three weeks in Lancing Parish Hall, members of the public are welcome to attend all meetings.

Human Resources Committee

The Human Resources Committee is to oversee matters relating to Council employees in line with relevant legislation and the Council’s employment policies on behalf of the Council.
