Lancing Parish Council is proud to celebrate the dedication and commitment of local organisations and individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to our community. These awards recognise those who go above and beyond to make Lancing a wonderful place to live, work, visit, and enjoy.
Nominate an Unsung Hero
We are now accepting nominations for the prestigious “Unsung Hero of the Year” Award. This award honours individuals who have made exceptional contributions to the local community.
Award Categories
In addition to the Unsung Hero Award, the Council will also recognise outstanding individuals and groups across the following categories:
Individuals
- Community Champion of the Year
Groups and Organisations
- Volunteer Group of the Year
- Environmental Group of the Year
- Business of the Year
- Sports Club of the Year
- Youth Organisation of the Year
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for a nomination:
- The nominee must live, work, or volunteer in Lancing.
- Nominees must have demonstrated significant contributions, outstanding service, or extraordinary dedication to the Parish or its residents.
- Nominations must be submitted by someone who lives, works, or volunteers in Lancing.
- Current Parish Councillors and staff are not eligible.
How to Nominate
Submit your nomination by completing the Community Nomination Awards Form.
Forms can also be downloaded and printed or collected from the Parish Council Office.
Key Dates
- Nomination Deadline: Friday 20th February 2026
- Awards Presentation: Wednesday 18th March 2026, during the Annual Parish Meeting which begins at 6:30pm
